Direct corporate entry into Europe — whether you're a skilled professional targeting Germany's Opportunity Card or building the career strategy to get there.
Germany's Opportunity Card lets qualified professionals enter for up to 12 months to find skilled work — no job offer required in advance. There are two routes in.
Route 1 — Recognised skilled worker
If your degree or vocational qualification is fully recognised in Germany (rated Entspricht/Gleichwertig with an H+ institution in Anabin), you qualify automatically — no points test required.
Route 2 — Points system
If your qualification isn't yet fully recognised, you can still qualify by scoring at least 6 points across language, experience, age, and other criteria — while meeting the baseline requirements.
2026 Points Matrix
You need 6 points total to qualify via Route 2.
Language
Basic German (A1) or fluent English (B2) as a baseline; higher German levels earn points.
Financial proof
Provable via a blocked account, declaration of commitment, or part-time work contract.
€1,091/month. Current for 2026.
Validity
Enter Germany to search for skilled work, with part-time work (up to 20 hrs/week) and unlimited two-week trial employments permitted during the search.
Figures and criteria last verified July 2026, based on Section 20a of the German Residence Act. Rules are set by German authorities and reviewed periodically.
How we support your application
ZAB statement of comparability
We prepare and submit your degree for assessment through the ZAB so your qualification is formally recognised or rated in the Anabin database.
Points assessment
We calculate your realistic points total across language, experience, age, and other criteria — and identify the fastest ways to reach the six-point threshold.
Job-search preparation
EU-standard CV, targeted applications, and positioning so your 12 months on the card are spent efficiently.
Embassy file assembly
Complete documentation package for submission, including financial proof and language certificates.
Germany's dual vocational system combines paid, on-the-job training with classroom study — a funded, low-cost route into the German workforce and one of the fastest paths to long-term residency. You earn while you train, pay no tuition, and finish with a recognised German qualification.
Monthly stipend
You're paid a monthly training allowance (Ausbildungsvergütung) throughout — no tuition fees, since training costs are covered by the employer.
Varies by sector, region, and training year; rises each year.
Language
At least B1 German is required for the visa; B2 is preferred by most employers and chambers, as all training is conducted in German.
Duration
Time is split between a company and a vocational school (Berufsschule), giving you both hands-on experience and a formal qualification.
Followed by an 18-month permit to find qualified work.
How the pathway works
Find an employer & sign a contract
The route starts with a training contract (Ausbildungsvertrag) from a German employer. We help translate your CV to German standards and reach employers directly — over 60,000 Ausbildung positions go unfilled each year, so demand for international candidates is real.
Reach B1 German (B2 preferred)
The visa requires at least B1 German under §16a, since training and classes are conducted in German. Most chambers of commerce (IHK/HWK) and employers prefer B2 — we build the language timeline into your plan.
Apply for the Ausbildung visa
With contract and language certificate in hand, you apply at the German mission in Islamabad, Karachi, or Lahore. We assemble the full file, including attestation of your documents (HEC/IBCC).
Train, earn, and transition
The dual programme runs 2–3.5 years, splitting time between employer and vocational school. On completion you receive an 18-month permit to find qualified work — and switching to a skilled-worker visa (§18a) puts permanent residence within reach after just two more years.
Figures last verified July 2026. Requirements and stipend levels are set by German authorities and employers and reviewed periodically — we confirm current details per client.
